Our Mission
Power Play Volleyball Club is designed to meet the needs of youth athletes by providing an opportunity for highly motivated volleyball players to train in a competitive, caring and flexible environment through basic and advanced fundamentals.

Our Goals and Values
Our goal is to provide quality volleyball training that will develop young athletes to their fullest potential, build character, and give each player the opportunity to excel. To meet these goals we are committed to the following organizational values...

Service: Power Play supports communities and residents by providing a relevant and accessible training program. Service is provided in an open, interactive, and professional manner.

Quality: Power Play strives for excellence in training and service. In delivering appropriate, innovative and competitive training to its players, Power Play uses designed management practices and a responsive organizational structure. We encourage and support a knowledgeable, professional and skilled staff.

Integrity: Power Play is dedicated to creating a learning environment characterized by ethical behavior, sportsmanship, character and accountability. We are committed to the principles of discipline, dedication and team work.

Diversity: Power Play values diversity in its staff, players and training to provide a climate of openness, acceptance, and respect for all individuals and the sport of volleyball.

Collaboration: Power Play’s qualified staff performs interdependently within the club and we work collaboratively with each other, our community and with the Southern California Volleyball Association.

Innovation: Power Play identifies and anticipates community and individual needs and responds with appropriate services. In reviewing needs, Power Play will take appropriate steps to provide the best training to achieve success and accomplish the players’ goals.

Player Level Commitment:
We expect our athletes to be serious about their commitment to the team. The level of improvement of the individual and team, all depend on a high level of commitment. The level of improvement and playing time generally follow the commitment level.

Playing Time:
Each player will get to play as much as possible in order to develop her skills. Playing time is earned by level of commitment. Our goal is to have a balance between playing time and achieving success. There will be times when a coach may play certain players which the coach believes will help achieve a “win”. Playing time for each player will be an important goal.

Time Involvement:
Season: The season is approximately 6 months, January through the end of June

Practices: Practice times will be twice a week, for approximately 2 to 3 hours depending on the level and age of team. Each team will have its own court. Teams may add more days and extra time depending on the needs of the team.

Tournament Play: Each team will play in the Southern California Volleyball Association. These tournaments are usually a 1 day event on Saturday or Sunday. There will be however, some tournaments that are 2 to 3 days long. Each team will play in local qualifiers and some may travel to tournaments outside of the state.
